Just tried our first game session tonight, this is just a running list of issues we're facing with the game top.
1. We have 5 players, when the 5th joins, all but one of our players can't click in the chat box to roll dice.
2. There is some video and audio lag when we have a 5th.
3. adding characters to the game room is very difficult - some character sheets were missing for certain people, which required leaving and rejoing. And even then some were sometimes still missing.
4. A way to signel Yes, No, Stop (or something like it) and Raise Hand without saying it over voice would be nice so when general questions are asked we can just click in instead of all verbalizing over eachother or indicate when we want to say something.
5. Optional push to talk button so background noise wont get picked up if someone isn't talking. Most of the time most of our players aren't talking at all so they'd have no problem having to push a button to talk and not flood the channel with random area noise.
6. Game table items move to back, move to front etc don't work very well, especially if you leave and rejoin. More often then not some or all of the player icons we use to represent players were moved to behind the map. It takes move the map, selecting them all, and setting them to front again to fix.
7. The overall issue was performance, performance and performance. We could have worked through the other issues pretty easy but 10 or 15 second lag with bits dropping off makes everything else irrelivent. Even with 4 players the lag was pretty bad but better. With 3 it was fine.
This is also a good reason to use the push to talk button - cutting out the constant sound feed from everyone might help a lot.
We eventually just switched to cell phones and used the game table for maps etc and that worked fine, but clearly not a good solution for people that aren't friends. As a side note, we turned off all the audio in Infrno (we were on phones) and the video response did get a lot better.
